Terms and conditions
How classes, passes and private lessons work. Short, and in plain English, because none of it is complicated.

Who these terms are with
Cuban Soul is a registered business name of Nikoletta Neal, a sole trader, ABN 41 028 708 380. The school is run by Stephen and Nikoletta. Booking a lesson, buying a pass or attending a class means these terms apply.
Group classes
Group classes run on Monday nights at Robina Community Centre, 1 San Antonio Court, Robina. Free social dancing from 6:00pm, Cuban salsa from 6:30pm and Rueda de Casino from 7:30pm.
No booking is required and no partner is required. Beginners can start on any Monday. You can pay at the door or buy online in advance.
Classes do not run on public holidays.
Classes are for adults. You need to be over 18 to attend.
Prices
All prices are in Australian dollars. Cuban Soul is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged and prices are the total you pay.

The first class price is for new students only, once. Choreography work is priced per project and standard private lesson rates do not apply to it.
Class passes
Passes never expire. There is no time limit, so an unused class is not a lost one. Use a pass at any weekly class.
A pass belongs to the person who bought it and cannot be transferred to someone else.
If you would rather have your money back than the classes, ask us: we refund unused passes on request.
Private lessons
Private lessons run for one hour with Stephen or Nikoletta at our private studio in Nerang. The address is confirmed with your booking rather than published here. After paying you are taken to our calendar to choose a time, and we confirm it with you.
We take a flexible approach to changing a private lesson. There is no notice period and no rescheduling fee: let Stephen or Nikoletta know and we will find another time.
Payment
Online payments are processed by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe directly and are never seen or stored by this website. Cash and card are both accepted at the door.
If we cancel a class
Occasionally a class cannot run. We announce it on Facebook and text anyone we have a number for. Nothing is lost: passes stay valid for any future class, and since they never expire there is nothing to extend.
If something goes wrong
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If we do not deliver what you paid for, you are entitled to a remedy under that law, and nothing on this page limits those rights.
For anything else, talk to us through the contact form or on Facebook or Instagram. We would rather sort it out than argue about it.
Dancing safely
Partner dancing is physical activity. Please dance within your own limits, wear shoes you can move safely in, and tell your instructor before class about any injury, condition or pregnancy that might affect what you should be doing. If something hurts, stop.
Behaviour
Everyone rotates partners, and everyone is entitled to a comfortable evening. We ask for basic courtesy and consent on the floor: ask before you dance with someone, accept no gracefully, and mind your partner's space and comfort. We may ask anyone who does not to leave.
Photography
Photographs and video are sometimes taken at classes and events, and may be used to promote Cuban Soul. Tell an instructor if you would rather not appear and we will keep you out of them.
This website
We keep the information here accurate and current, particularly the timetable and prices. If something here and something we tell you in person disagree, ask us and we will confirm which is right. How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change we will update the date at the top of this page.
