What we teach
Dance styles
Three Cuban and Caribbean styles, taught for one purpose: so you can walk onto a social dance floor anywhere and enjoy yourself.
Also known as casino
Cuban salsa
A social partner dance, known in Cuba as casino. Improvised rather than choreographed, circular rather than linear, and closely tied to Cuban music. It is where we tell beginners to start, and it is the 6:30pm – 7:30pm class every Monday.

Danced in a circle
Rueda de Casino
Cuban salsa danced by a circle of couples at once, with a caller shouting the next move and everybody changing partners on the call. Open level, every Monday at 7:30pm, straight after the salsa class. It is our main point of difference and the most fun you can have in a dance class.

Private lessons only
Authentic Dominican bachata
The original Dominican form, driven by footwork and danced in connection with the music. We teach it as a private lesson only, at our Nerang studio, not as a weekly group class.

The point of all of it
Social dancing is the focus of everything we teach
Every technique in every class is chosen for one reason: so that it works on a social dance floor, with a partner you have just met, to a song nobody announced in advance. We are not training you for a stage.
Dancing somewhere other than here
We are not the only Latin dancing on the Gold Coast and we would rather you danced more, not only with us. Go to other schools' socials, go to the events, dance with people who learned somewhere else. It is how you get good. Two places worth following for what is on:

Ask us on a Monday as well and we will tell you where to park.
