What this website collects, who handles it, and how to have it removed, in plain English.

Who we are
Cuban Soul is a registered business name of Nikoletta Neal, a sole trader, ABN 41 028 708 380. The school is run by Stephen and Nikoletta. This policy covers the website at cubansoul.com.au. It does not cover anything you send us through Facebook or Instagram, which are governed by those platforms' own policies.
What we collect, and only when you give it
Reading the site is measured. We use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit and how they found us, and a Meta pixel so we can tell whether our Facebook and Instagram advertising is working. Both set cookies in your browser and both send information to their companies, including your IP address, the page you are on and the site you came from. Neither of them is told your name.
Everything else you give us on purpose, in three ways:
The contact form
You give us a name, an email address, an optional phone number, the topic you chose and your message. We use them to answer you. Nothing more.
The newsletter tick box
The contact form has an unticked box that adds you to our newsletter. Leaving it unticked does not stop us replying to your message: the two are separate. If you tick it, we take that as your express consent to send you occasional news about classes, as the Spam Act 2003 requires, and every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link.
Buying a class pass or lesson online
Payment happens on Stripe's own pages, not here. We never see or store your card details. Stripe tells us what was bought and gives us the name and email address you used, so we can recognise you at the door.
Who else handles it
| Service | What it does | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| Web3Forms | Delivers your enquiry to our mailbox | Everything you typed into the contact form |
| MailerLite | Runs the newsletter list | Your details, only if you tick the newsletter box |
| Stripe | Takes payment | Your payment details, directly. We never receive them |
| Google Analytics | Tells us which pages are read and how people found the site | Your visit: pages, referrer, approximate location, device, IP address |
| Meta pixel | Measures whether our Facebook and Instagram ads work | Your visit, and Meta may match it to a Facebook or Instagram account |
| Microsoft Azure | Hosts this website | Standard server logs, including IP addresses |
| YouTube | The players on the videos page | Loading that page contacts YouTube, which may set its own cookies |
| Spotify | The playlist player on the Cuban salsa page | Loading that page contacts Spotify, which may set its own cookies |
The videos page carries YouTube players, so opening it contacts YouTube as well. They use youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, but YouTube still receives the request.
The Cuban salsa page carries a Spotify playlist player, so opening it contacts Spotify as well. Nothing plays until you press play, but the player itself loads with the page.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the services above.
Cookies, and turning them off
Google Analytics and the Meta pixel each set a cookie so a return visit is recognised as the same browser. We set none of our own: there is no login and nothing to remember.
You can stop both. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser settings, or using private browsing, prevents most of it. Google publishes an opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and you can limit what Meta does with your activity in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. Nothing on this site stops working if you block them.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our mailbox while they are useful and are deleted when they are not. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Payment records are kept as long as Australian tax law requires.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Ask us and we will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Use the contact form or message us on Facebook or Instagram. For the newsletter you can also use the unsubscribe link in any email, which removes you immediately without asking us.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The services above hold your information on their own systems under their own security arrangements. No website can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Children
Our classes are for adults and this site is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
Questions or complaints
Contact us through the contact form. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
